My work is driven by materials and process, its always about the emotional and physical feeling I get from producing it. The cycle repeats itself at every new work. It gives me the ability to facilitate that ‘Desire to exist’, the act of embodiment.
In this body of work, ‘Spikey Fanny’ is for the female gaze. One might feel uncomfortable standing in front of ‘Spikey Fanny’. The terror of sexual thoughts in everyday objects lingers around ‘Spikey Fanny’. It has a job to do as a feminist sculpture with a spank of humour.
